I am using size 80 Dmc Cordonnet
Sure doesn't go very fast, but is very interesting,
I will post the finished project, but it will be a long time before I finish.

This tantalizing 'sample' is extraordinary! At first I thought it was an antique piece, because even the most dedicated tatters would hesitate to start that kind of project these days, especially with size 80 thread! Beautiful job!
Also, I must comment on your work over-all, which is so versatile and advanced. I can't believe you've been tatting for only two years - and in browsing your blog entries I discovered that you've been blogging for only a year and a half and you are already closing in on completing a SECOND round of the 25-Motif Challenge! Quite impressive!
You have already mastered many advanced techniques such as block tatting.
I'm very interested in 3D tatting, and your colorful 'hot air balloon' astounded me when I first saw it. It is perfectly done, with the added attraction of the cute teddy bear. It should definitely have won a Blue ribbon, not a 2nd. What were they comparing it to?
I would LOVE to know if the balloon pattern is available (I've never seen it anywhere. Also I'm very curious to know how you stiffened it.
I can't forget to mention the adorable white needle-felted Teddy Bear, with tatted embellishments. I meant to comment when I first saw it. SO CUTE! Needle felting has to take so much time.
You have a LOT of talent! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Of course it's fair. It's tatting, it has multiple motifs in it, why wouldn't it be fair?
