I saw this bookmark on a website, and looked all over for the pattern and to no avail! I fell in love with the design , so this is my attempt at charting the pattern......... I take no credit for the design , give full credit to the designer, unknown to me.
This was lots of fun to do , and I learned a lot as usual, Thank you for allowing me to tat this design.

This is a bookmark that evolved from an edging. I'm beginning to feel like a seasoned tatter here. LOL! Back when we first started doing exchanges, there were very few patterns and we learned to use edgings, joining 2 strips together. I used this edging on a nightgown in 2000, altho it may very well be a variation of it since it was found in most vintage tatting books in one form or another.
Firstly I am the one who did the bookmark for Tattingchic so you probably did yours from mine shown at her blog - by the way my name is not Dan but Dantatter is short for "Danish Tatter" because that is what I am.
Secondly yes Gina is right. I don't think anyone can claim the design belong to them because it is originally an edging from one of the old Dover books (and other books too).
Some years ago I found the bookmark pattern on a Japanese site that is no longer online and I have modified it a little bit to my liking. I do not say it is my design at all, at the most it is my variation and one that I love. I wouldn't have minded if it was my design though, roflol.
Hi. Looks familiar to me too.
you did well replicating it.
