I did this snowflake by Ben Fikkert in size 10 cordonnet thread. Sorry I didn't get the URL down but the pattern is on his website.
I must say, for me It was really a great challenge.Of course, I am not the most experienced of tatters either.Lots of frustrations, and joys in this one. Not perfect but finished after many rippings.

Very nice snowflake and very well worked, but it is not from Jan Stawasz, but from the dutch designer Ben Fikkert.
